Frequently Asked Questions

I’m a commercial advertising photographer with 20 years of experience in the lifestyle, resort, healthcare and casino industries. I work mostly with advertising agencies, but I also frequently work with clients directly as more and more companies operate in a hybrid agency model or take their creative in-house.
I regularly shoot still-photo campaigns for a wide variety of companies on productions of all sizes. Recently, clients have been requesting stills, drone photos and video, or a blend of all of the above. This framework on commercial video productions has proven to be an efficient way to round out a library of assets on a project.

There are constraints on every project. I try to work in a focused, intentional way to be as efficient as possible, yet still leave room for serendipity. I’m collaborative with those who want to be or I’ll take over the project and give you what you’re asking for. I have fun with the process so the shoot doesn’t feel like work, which is why I chose photography as my career in the first place.

I take pre-production very seriously. The more details we can nail down and decisions we can make before the shoot, the more creative we can be on the shoot. I’m flexible enough to understand and achieve your vision, add my spin on it and walk away with something we’re both excited to put out into the world. I always push a little further past the point of the client thinking we nailed it, to get to a place neither of us could have imaged in pre-pro. Sometimes we go over the edge together and sometimes that’s where the magic happens.

Most easily through the info on my contact page but I’m very accessible. Email, text, call, message through socials, smoke signals, carrier pigeon, write me a letter and mail it, etc. The answer is D, all of the above.

Please provide all of the info for your project before asking for my day rate. I need to know everything you know and everything you don’t know, yet. Let’s have the conversation and figure out what can work for all involved.
